Salem Sanna Rice

The rice derives its name from the place where it originated (Salem in Tamil Nadu) and the nature of the variety (Sanna ? Slender / Fine).

The old cooked rice also gives good fragrance. It is used for making sweet Pongal (a South Indian delicacy). Crop Duration 140 days. The rice is white in color which is of very fine quality.
